rawhide dahlia - GARDENING
They're like rawhide, but they don't actually contain any hide or chemicals. It's all natural - chicken, brown rice flour, organic eggs, olive oil, banana, pineapple. I have a 3 1/2 month golden and she has never been possessive over anything except today I decided to get her a rawhide bone and whenever I got near her she would growl at me and If i put my hand near her she would bite me.

I'm thinking of just not letting her having rawhide any more but she... It's so confusing - some sources say yes to rawhide (and raw bones, for that matter) and others say no. I finally decided that rawhide was okay with... Rawhide will say it somewhere on the label...even in small print.

I completely know that you are only supposed to give rawhide when the dog is supervised. I was supervising her... If you give this type of dog a rawhide bone, yep you guessed it, it'll swallow the rawhide bone whole too. It isn't that rawhide bones and chews that are bad, it is the individual dogs' tendencies and behavior that have to be monitored. If you have a dog that swallows everything whole, don't give him/her things that can cause a blockage. No to rawhide.
